Best splatter guard for deep skillets?
Does anyone actually use a splatter screen when cooking with a lot of oil (stir-fries, schnitzel, etc.)? I have a 12-inch deep skillet and most screens I see look too shallow or just sit weird on the edge. Tired of cleaning grease off the backsplash every single time. Are the mesh ones better than the ones with holes? Looking for something that really works and doesn’t bend after a few uses.

I fry quite often and yeah, a proper splatter screen saves so much cleanup. The shallow ones are useless on deeper pans they just let oil shoot over the sides. I switched to one with a decent dome shape and strong handle; it actually covers the whole pan without sliding off. This is the one I’ve been happy with for months now https://www.amazon.com/splatter-screen-for-frying-pan/dp/B0DSWPHZ6K?tag=contractorhub-20 the mesh is fine enough to catch most splatter but still lets steam out so food doesn’t get soggy. It’s sturdy, dishwasher safe, and folds flat which is nice for the drawer. Definitely worth it if you cook greasy stuff regularly.
